Deputy Coordinator with the Emergency Management Department. The County of Washington, Virginia is presently seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Coordinator with the Emergency Management Department. Under the direction of the Coordinator of Emergency Management, assists with the oversight of the department as well as oversight and operation of the County’s E-911 Emergency Communication System. Immediate oversight of the Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) program. A complete job description is available upon request. Must possess a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary DoQ, DoE with a starting range of $42,000-$47,000.

Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Technician (ALS-EMT)-Paramedic (four positions). These positions will be responsible for engaging in the provision of basic and advanced life support pre-hospital care activities for the Department of Emergency Management. Serves as part of the County’s emergency medical services system responding to the scene of medical or trauma emergencies upon dispatch by the County’s 911 center. Works as part of an emergency response team which may include other career or volunteer providers (EMT-Basic or ALS). Assesses patient status and provides the appropriate care within the scope of practice. Acts as an attendant in charge during the transport of patients of all ages to an appropriate medical facility. Prepares and maintains files and records. Maintains equipment and vehicles. Performs work under the supervision of the Coordinator of the Emergency Management Department or designee.

The RHCC Manager is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and updates for the FARSW Emergency Operations Plan (EOP); including both internal and external event responses. The RHCC Manager serves as a key member of the Emergency Preparedness Committee providing project management and oversight for emergency preparedness tasks as assigned by the director. The RHCC Manager assists in grant-related reporting requirements, training, documentation, and other related activities. Additionally, serves as the deputy director and representative of the FARSW Healthcare Coalition to local, state, and regional hospital preparedness and association committees as needed in the absence of the Program Director.
